Requirement for Establishment of the Society


Major duties of the Society
1. Identification of the research capabilities and capacities of the research and development units of the industrial centers and helping the members to benefit from their research potential abilities
2. Coordination among research & development units in order to compile executive approaches in order to choose suitable technology, compilation and definition of the executive principles needed for transfer of technology based on industrial requirements of the society, cooperation, and seeking for improved approaches needed for attraction and naturalization of the transferred technologies.
3. Cooperation with planning organs needed for identification of the helpful research projects of the members and attraction of public social and financial supports toward execution of the useful projects
4. Cooperation with planning organs in order to specify suitable grounds for investment in different industrial fields in accordance with international technologic progress and industrial conditions inside the country
5. Providing any facilities needed for constant scientific training of the members in order to up-to-date the knowledge of research and development experts in human resources- researchers
6. Making relation between centers of higher education and research inside and outside the country and between university professors and the industrial research and development centers in order to activate basic research projects in the universities in accordance with applied research requirements in industry and financial and intellectual support of the researchers and activists of the research and development section
7. Providing necessary facilities in order to make relation between industrial research centers and researchers inside and outside the country; making arrangements for attendance of the members in international conferences and seminars in any industrial fields; finding suitable approaches needed for exchange of information at international level
8. Establishment of information centers, networks, libraries, compilation system, analysis, compilation and offering technical and research information to the members and publication of the periodical research publications and magazines
9. Organizing annual assemblies needed for presenting research achievements to the national industries, finding suitable approaches required for research projects completed, to make application and providing suitable grounds for attraction of the research findings by the industrial units
10. Development of the culture of research in the country and industrial units through granting stock exchange to distinguished researchers and outstanding students of the universities and institutions of higher education
11. Import of equipment, materials and research requirements of the research and development units and providing any facilities needed in this regard
12. Admission of membership of other research and development centers inside or outside the country and joining these centers in order to support research condition of the society
13. Delegation of powers to the real and legal persons inside and outside the country, accepting representation of the institutions and legal and real entities inside the country with respect to the line of activity of the society
14. Investment and cooperation with real and legal persons inside or outside the country in order to establish and run scientific and research institutions upon obtaining legal authorizations in this regard
15. Sale, purchase and lease of real and personal properties needed by the institute
16. Accepting financial and non-financial aids and gifts of real and legal persons.




Major Actions Taken by the Society of Centers for Research & Development of Mines & Industries from the date of establishment to the end of the year 1381 (March 20, 2003)


Establishment of information network (INTERNET)
Since it is inevitable to access to necessary information and knowledge with respect to industrial training and research needed for development and promotion of the mineral and industrial economic progress, the Society of Centers for Research & Development of Mines & Industries has made its preference to establish information network (INTERNET) and upon taking relevant actions in establishment of the information network, any members of the Society may constantly communicate with each other, thanks to the information network (INTERNET). Furthermore, the manual of the information network of the Society for Centers of Research & Development of Mines & Industries has been complied to be used by the members of the said Society.

Industrial & Mineral Training
As you know, industrial and mineral training needed for providing suitable grounds will play a prominent role in development plans of Mineral and Industrial economy; though execution of the industrial training courses will be one of the high-priced industrial and mineral projects, regarding that execution of the said project needed for industrial development shall be inevitable, be included in the investment expenses, the Society approved completion of the following industrial courses:
- For 600 industrial and manufacturing units inside the country (Isfahan, Mashhad, Sari, Tehran "SAPCO", Shiraz, Tabriz, Tehran "Rahbaran Petro-Chemistry", Isfahan "Kosar Hotel΄, Tehran "Rahbaran Petro-Chemistry" and Kish Island)
- For 97 industrial and manufacturing units outside the country (UK, South Ireland, Emirates and Germany), 860 directors and experts of administrative /official sections of the research and development units successfully completed the required industrial training courses.

Organizing specialized committees of Mines & Industries
Since we may access to the industrial and mineral research requirements and concerning that industrial and mineral training requires appropriate knowledge about quality and quantity of the said requirements, it was decided that specialized committees would be convened in any industrial and mineral fields. Upon organizing general assembly and compatible Mines and Industries in the Ministry of Mines and Industries, specialized committees will begin their operation. This is to inform your that for the compatible industries of machine manufacturing and auto production, specialized committees have been organized.

Obtaining permit, establishment of the Society for Centers of Research and Development
In order to obtain an official standing by this private organization, further to the recommendation of the Office of Industrial Researches of the Ministry of Mines & industries, necessary actions were taken by the Society and the said organization obtained an establishment permit issued by the Deputy office of Administrative and Financial Affairs of the Ministry of Mines & Industries.

Publications
Following Articles of Association, the Society of Centers for Research & Development of Mines & Industries has published:
- Seasonal Publication of the Society (changed to a monthly periodical) including such subjects as research, development, industrial and mineral economy, news and alike); 27 magazines and 8 scientific articles have been published and translated.
- Manual needed for information network (INTERNET) of the Society of Centers for Research & Development of Mines & Industries.
- Translation & publication of the research and development management book at the beginning of the third millennium] 4th generation of research & development

Attraction of the support of the Ministry of Mines & Industries by the Society of Centers for Research & Development of Mines & Industries
Though the Society of Centers for Research & Development of Mines & Industries is a capable private organ, support of the Ministry shall be very effective and valuable: Attendance of the Minister of Mines & Industries for execution of conference opening
- Constant supervision of the Ministry of Mines & Industries over good job performance of the Society of Centers for Research & Development of Mines & Industries
- Supply of the executive credits of the conference by Deputy Office of Planning, Development and Technology
- Introduction of superior product named "SAMAND" and awarding merit reward to the Research Center of Iran Khodro
